It’s time to conclude another great book. This month’s read was The Dress by Jane L. Rosen. Let us reveal exactly what we thought…

I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book from start to finish. I have gone on a journey with 9 different people all rooting from 1 very special dress. The book is a lovely easy read and at several points had me laughing and smiling with such happiness when things went just the way they should.
I won’t reveal any spoilers as I would recommend grabbing a copy for a heart warming, great story, but I have to say I loved all of the characters, particularly the Bloomingdales staff we’ve all had encounters with sales assistants just like them. Each character had such different stories to tell, with varying backgrounds and personalities but somehow this Max Hammer Little Black Dress had influenced all of their lives in such different ways.
Not forgetting the wonderful backdrop that is New York City, I loved getting lost in the Big Apple and immersing myself completely into the lives of each character.
The Dress is a lovely, charming, heart-warming and witty read one I would highly recommend for a little bit of extra happiness in your life!

I LOVED this book! using the dress as a way to guide our journey through all of the characters was just fantastic, on paper, a simple idea but SO well done by the author. It was a real page turner and I had trouble putting it down when I was reading my few pages at the end of the day. The characters are completely relatable and the story is completely heart warming. The quick pace changing between the characters held my attention (anyone who knows me, knows how difficult that can be!!) but the distinct voice and story of each made it easy to keep them separate from each other. It was also really well balanced between happy, sad and funny bits. A good easy to read book for the beach / plane / rainy weekend day – I’d definitely recommend picking up a copy of this one!
