Our next Book Club read is the newly released domestic thriller My Darling by Amanda Robson.
I’ve read a couple of Amanda’s books before this one so I knew I was in for a treat but she really does just get better and better!
This book centres around two couples, Emma and Alaistair and their new neighbours Jade and Tomas. Both couples have issues and their lives begin to intertwine in complicated ways. Relationships start to cross boundaries and as the book is told from multiple perspectives you get an overview from all sides as this plays out.
This is a complex storyline, written so well that it just flows. The characters are strong and you find yourself trying to figure out who is right and wrong here. The ending (which I won’t spoil for you!) was sinister and intense and the whole thing kept me on the edge of my seat – I literally read this straight through staying up til 4am to finish!
This is definitely Amanda’s best book yet and I can’t wait for the next one, if you haven’t read anything from this author, grab your copy here on Amazon*, you won’t be disappointed!
