A really current thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat! John Smith is a hitman for hire (and psychic!), called in to avenge the murder of a reality star at her wedding. His investigations take him to a site on the dark web, offering bounties to anyone willing to kill celebrities on the list.
This book gave me a ‘Spooks’ vibe (anyone else love that TV show?) that was always so topical and current with frightening looks at what could happen if things continue in certain ways. This book does the same, it makes you think and question things. I hadn’t realised this was the second in a series but that didn’t impact the book one bit and it completely stands alone (though I am getting the first one now!) This book had everything for me, an immersive storyline, great characters, touches of humour and plenty of action.
