Bingeworthy Boxsets!

There’s never a better time than a bank holiday to catch up with some box set bingeing so today I’m sharing my favourites in case you’re lacking in inspiration!

Sarah Hurley Blog Best Box Sets Lost

1. Lost

I watched the first series of Lost in about 3 days straight when I discovered it and the following series were not far behind! This plane crash / island survival / sci fi drama kept me hooked and guessing the whole way through. If you don’t want to leave the house for several weeks, this is definitely the one to go for!

Sarah Hurley Blog Best Boxsets Desperate Housewives

2. Desperate Housewives

If you’re thinking this is some kind of girly drama, don’t be fooled! There’s drama, blackmail, murder and more! This is another one that you can’t watch just one episode of and a varied cast of characters means there’s someone for everyone to relate to, love or love to hate!

Sarah Hurley Blog Box Sets Pushing Daisies

3. Pushing Daisies

This delightfully retro drama about a pie maker with a special gift and his adventures with his childhood sweetheart who he brought back from the dead is one of my feel good favourites that I dip in and out of when I need cheering up. It’s just so nostalgic but with a twist, I’m so sad there are only two seasons of this one!

Sarah Hurley Blog Best Box Sets Lizzie Borden Chronicles

4. The Lizzie Borden Chronicles

One for the horror / thriller fans. This is a great spooky drama and the horror is not too gory so definitely give it a go (even B liked this one in moderation and he’s really not a horror fan, but the plot lines are excellent!). Christina Ricci is absolutely fantastic in this role (watch the Lizzie Borden film with her in it first, this series is a spin off and takes the film further!) This is also on Netflix right now which is great as it can be hard to find in the UK.

Sarah Hurley Blog Best Boxsets Spooks

5. Spooks

This MI5 spy thriller has lots of amazing episodes with fantastic storylines that will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is one I watch pretty much weekly and have watched over and over again, I’m still not tired of it, it’s definitely a firm favourite!

Honourable mention – these didn’t quite make the top 5 but definitely deserve a mention!

Hustle, Six Feet Under, Cashmere Mafia, Grey’s Anatomy, The Walking Dead.

I’d love to hear your favourites or what you think of mine if you watch any of them, leave them in the comments below!

Thanks for dropping by today and have a great relaxing holiday weekend!

Oh Lost! I feel like that is definitely worthy of another binge from me (if only to help me understand the whole plot a bit better). I’ve never watched Spooks, or even heard of it, but do I spy Richard Armitage? Reason enough for me to give it a go haha. Nice post.

That said, would you be interested in sharing your thoughts and opinions on Movie Pilot? I’d like to invite you to join the platform, and I’d love to hear from you so I can to expand on that. Feel free to shoot me an e-mail, my contact details are on my “About” page. Hope to hear from you.

I just tried to comment but don’t think my message came through. I think I should definitely watch Lost again, it will be quite the commitment but a part of me is still so confused when it comes to that show. I need some answers haha. I have never heard of Spooks before, but… do I…. spy Richard Armitage? Reason enough for me to check it out haha.
