In case you’ve missed it, our latest Book Club pick is Jane L. Rosen’s The Dress. We’re about half way through the book and we’d love to tell you our thoughts so far…

So far, so good. I have to say I am really enjoying the book and find myself reading chapter after chapter without even realising it. The Dress is such a light hearted, enjoyable book to read.
I am loving the fact that Jane L. Rosen switches the narrator every chapter. This really keeps the story fresh and it is so interesting to see how this one dress has impacted all of these characters lives in very different ways. I find myself relating to every character and I love that there is that touch of humour to every chapter. My favourite characters so far are definitely Natalie and Felicia. I’m definitely rooting for Natalie to get the revenge she wants on her ex-boyfriend, and am hoping that Felicia gets the happy ever after she deserves.
At the point that I’m at in the book right now, I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen with all the characters. I’m hoping all turns out how a good rom-com read should be. I’m excited to read on!

Agreed! I’m loving the book so far. It’s a great read and the characters are so relatable. I love the way the book switches between characters at each chapter, I was worried this may get confusing but it really doesn’t and it’s easy to switch back and forth and the characters are very distinctive and well written. It actually keeps the story moving along at a good pace and makes you want to keep reading to see what happens next. I started reading this at the weekend and it’s a great cosy, curled up in bed with a mug of hot chocolate or aeroplane read as it’s easy to follow and a great, entertaining, feel good story.
I’m not quite as far through as Chloe but I’m determined to set aside a couple of hours to finish it this weekend, as I can’t wait to find out what happens! If you’re a fan of the rom-com / chick lit genre this is definitely one to add to your reading list.
